Not mentioned is that you can view your bill/consumption/change direct debit/enter meter readings all online without having to contact anyone. Stay on top of your gas and leccy bill by monitoring online. Requesting money back if you are in credit does involve phoning them. Scottish power have dropped my bills conssiderably since changing to their capped rate. Good company superb cashback.

" I transferred from swalec to scottish power last october and they have been brilliant. My bills have fallen since i capped with them and i have saved a small fortune. You can check your balance, consumption and payment history all online. You can also update your meter readings. I update mine every couple of months, and if i am in credit i contact them and they credit the money back in 7 days in the form of a cheque. They really are a good energy provider. £80 cashback for a dual switch is a really phenomenal deal.
